Ernst Becker & Sohn was founded in 1872 and is at present Austria’s largest semi-worsted spinning mill for the carpet- and coarse-yarn sector. In addition to single white and coloured yarns we are able to offer a large number of effect yarns, which include melange, jaspé, mouliné and nap yarns, in white for piece-dyeing as well as stock-dyed. We are able to spin a variety of raw materials for carpets and home textiles including polyamide, polypropylene, acrylic, polyester, wool and viscose, in both white and coloured forms. Our own stock dyeing plant and modern blending equipment enable us to fulfil every dyeing or blending requirement of our customers. We meet the highest standards for colour matching precision by the use of a colorimeter. As we are convinced that stockdyeing will continue to become more and more important in the carpet sector (for example 40.000 - 50.000 m² out of one blend, lower environmental impact, stripeless appearance of the carpet) we have attributed high importance to the expansion of our dyehouse. Our modern blending machines enable us to blend lots of up to 25 t in such a way that we are able to guarantee absolute homogeneity and faultless blending (stripeless) from the first kilogram to the last. For the optimum service of our customers in the weaving and tufting sector, who are active in the contract business, we have a twisting facility for folded yarns and also the possibility to offer a range of final yarn presentations including hanks, cylindrical spools and cones in various dimensions. Finally, we would like to emphasise that we do not manufacture standard products - but specialise in collaborating with our customers to develop individually designed products. In principal we are able to meet all our customer’s requirements, provided that they are technically possible. |
